Marshall "Mike" Crawford was born in 1950 to a poor family in the South. He was categorized as a slow learner who couldn't walk or talk until he was almost two years old. He is the middle brother of seven brothers and sisters. Surviving the tragic death of both his parents by the age of eight, Mike developed a keen sense of awareness of his environment and devoted himself to a life of learning. He devoted himself to the pursuit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
In 1970 after an eventful first year in college, Mike was drafted into the army and, within months, found himself serving as a Medical Technician in a hospital in Vietnam. He was married before being discharged, after which he returned to college. He and his wife raised three children who have become medical doctors."
During the war, Mike was exposed to Agent Orange, which resulted in lung cancer in his later years. While recovering from treatments, Mike was gifted with a laptop and encouraged to write his story. The writing of this series of books opened a flood of memories that have given Mike a new lease on life. His hope is that these stories will show the reader that as long as you have breath, you have a purpose. His goal is that by sharing his story, others will begin to live theirs.
